We are the Richmond Concert Band in Richmond, Virginia; a diverse but united adult community band intent on providing both a quality and challenging musical experience for its members while providing quality performances for its audiences.
Formed in 1971, we are the oldest active community
band in the Richmond metropolitan area and have about 15 performances
each year. We strive to be “The Band of Choice”; the choice for
musicians, event planners, and audiences alike. Under the direction of
Mark W. Poland since February 1979, the band
offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, all the while striving for
the highest level of musicianship.
