The Richmond Concert Band will be back at Agecroft Hall again  on Sunday, August 24th.  A concert of music about colors will be fun and entertaining…  Blue Moon, Blue Tango, The Emerald Isle, Gold and Silver Waltz, Orange Bowl, and more are among the selections the band will be performing.  Gather the family, fix a picnic, bring your lawn chairs, and/or blanket and make it a relaxing evening and on the grounds of Agecroft Hall.  As always, the concert is free.

Also, this concert is the band’s annual Old Instruments for Young Hands - where any no-longer used band instruments are collected and in turn re-donated to the  City of Richmond School system, where they will be available for children to used during the year to learn to play an instrument and play in the school band.  They can be loaned out year after year, and will be need in the upper elementary classes, middle school, and high school.  So it someone in your house has given up playing, or has a beginner instrument no longer used after buying a new one, or if you know Uncle Joe left his in a closet 20 years ago… well, find and collect these and bring them to the concert.  These donations will be tax deductible.

So, join us, Sunday, August 24th, with family, picnic, chairs, and an Old Instrument that you’d like to see in some Young Hands.
